Teen suicide is a topic that needs immediate address, however, the majority of people avoid discussing or bringing it out to the light. It is, indeed, very sensitive to talk about. Nevertheless, it is more concerning if we are all too afraid to touch on it. Many youths are taking away their own lives, assuming that they can not handle the pain and that there is no one out there who cares whether they die or live.
Researchers have found that suicide is the third leading cause of death among teenagers. As a young adult, teenagers have to experience more emotional pain from either losing someone important in life or from having conflicts with people around them, let alone the instability in hormones. Due to lack of maturity, many teens choose to escape the pain by committing suicide.
